Meet Dr. Tasha Bennett
Founder, Disruptive Development Practice
Learning Strategist | Educator | People Development Partner
Purpose-Driven Development Starts Here
Have you ever noticed how the biggest shifts happen when you finally see yourself — and others — clearly? That awareness is where growth begins, and it’s the foundation of Disruptive™ Development Practice.
I’m Dr. Tasha Bennett — Learning Strategist, Educator, and People Development Partner. I believe meaningful change happens when people have the courage to disrupt old patterns and connect with intention. When you understand yourself, you show up differently. You communicate with clarity, build deeper connections, and create cultures rooted in trust and accountability.
With over 20 years of experience across higher education, oil and gas, insurance, and corporate services, I help individuals, teams, and facilitators strengthen communication, deepen trust, and build cultures that last.
Our experiences are designed to do more than check boxes; they challenge assumptions, spark honest dialogue, and build environments where self-awareness fuels growth and connection. Because real connection doesn’t happen by accident, it’s created with intention, courage, and a little disruption.
If you’re ready to disrupt how you show up — personally or professionally — I’ve got you! Whether you’re here to grow individually, connect more deeply with others, or elevate your team’s performance, you’re in the right place.
Break the norms. Connect to grow.
The Heart of My Work
What truly distinguishes me is the intention and energy I bring to helping people grow from the inside out. I’ve had the honor of:
Coaching professionals and teams to discover their strengths and communicate with clarity.
Facilitating dynamic, growth-focused workshops that spark self-awareness and connection.
Empowering others through tools like CliftonStrengths®, Everything DiSC®, and 360° feedback.
I believe that when people understand themselves, they connect differently, and that changes everything.
Academic Credentials & Teaching Experience
I hold a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and a Master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, bringing that academic foundation into every facet of my teaching, coaching, and facilitation.
Throughout my career, I’ve taught at institutions including the University of Phoenix, Strayer University, and Houston Community College. Currently, I serve as a Lecturer in the College of Engineering at the University of Houston, teaching within the Human Resource Development program.
At the heart of my teaching philosophy is a deep belief that learning should feel real, relevant, and empowering. I design learning experiences that bridge theory and practice, and prepare people for the challenges they face every day, whether it’s leading a team, navigating change, or communicating with intent and impact.
Ultimately, my goal is for every learner to leave not only with new knowledge but with clarity and courage to apply it in ways that foster both personal and professional growth.
“Disruption isn’t chaos, it’s clarity. Knowing who you are, reading the room, and leading with intention.” ⚡
